Adrià Puntí
Adrià Puntí is a Catalan composer and songwriter from Girona. He was the leading singer of Umpah-pah one of the first successful groups of the "Rock Catala" in the early 1990s. The first two albums of the group ("Raons de pes" -1991- and "Bamboo Avenue" -1992-) were fresh and unconventional including songs ("La catximba", "Carta a Donosti", ...) which become well known thanks to their characteristic long & complex lyrics played/sang with a very singular interpretative style.
After three albums with Umpah-pah ("Triquiñuelas al óleo" , "Bordell" - 1994 - and "La columna de Simeón" - 1996) Adrià Puntí starts a solo career with "Pepalallarga i... (la Conxita de l'aiguardent)" - 1997 - followed by "Ull x ull" (1999) and "Mmm quin fàstic, eeccs que bo!" (duo with Maria del Mar Bonet) and "L'hora del pati" (2000).
As an actor, he interpreted a role in "Laberint d'ombres" (Televisió de Catalunya, 1998). Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
